First national review from the Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel

The new Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel has announced the first ever national child safeguarding practice review. In a letter from the Chair of the panel, Edward Timpson CBE, to the Secretary of State for Education, it is explained that the panel has received notification of a significant number of serious child safeguarding cases which raise issues which are complex and of national importance relating to adolescents in need of state protection from criminal exploitation. This will therefore be the theme of the first review, which started in March 2019 and will take six months to complete.
