‘Evidence Store’ launched for children’s social care

The What Works Centre for Children’s Social Care has launched a new ‘Evidence Store’ – an online database that looks at the effectiveness of practice models and interventions in children’s social care. There are systematic reviews of programmes such as ‘Foster and kinship care support’, ‘Intensive Family Preservation Programmes’ and ‘Sexual abuse recovery using CBT’. There are ratings for ‘overall effectiveness’ and ‘strength of evidence’ for each intervention or model. New evidence summaries will be added on a regular basis.
