Plan published to ensure effective early intervention

The Early Intervention Foundation has published a major new report setting out a ‘bold plan of action’ to ensure effective early intervention is available to those children, young people and families who need it, to improve outcomes in life, and ensure children and young people are able to thrive. Realising the potential of early intervention highlights significant barriers within the current system that inhibit early intervention, and sets out key actions. These actions include ones at a national level and ones at a local level. The local level actions are: agreeing a clear vision that is founded on the benefits of local intervention to local communities and the local economy; and fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making and practice.
