Strategy launched to combat decline of children’s wellbeing

The charity Youth Sport Trust has launched a four-year strategy aimed at stopping the decline in children’s physical, mental and social wellbeing, using the power of sport, PE and physical activity. The charity says that children have never been less active and that those who are most in need of sport’s positive impact are the most likely to miss out or struggle to access sport and physical activity.

The strategy’s objectives include transforming PE’s place in the school curriculum, removing barriers to sport, championing insight into the impact of physical activity, and unlocking the potential of sport at every stage of a child’s life.
