Consultation on changes to Working Together closes

The Government’s consultation on proposed changes to Working Together to Safeguard Children has now closed and a summary of responses received has been published. Over 700 organisations and individuals responded to the consultation. The Government is now reviewing the guidance in light of the findings of the consultation. The new regulations will be debated and voted on by both the House of Commons and the House of Lords in the spring, before an updated version of Working Together is published. Local areas will have 12 months from the date of commencement to develop and published their arrangements, with a further three months to implement them in full.
