Extent of mental health in children and young people revealed

A Public Health England report on the mental health of children and young people has found that almost 700,000 children aged 5 to 16 in England have a clinically significant mental health illness. One in 10 children aged 5–16 suffer from a diagnosable mental health illness, including 39,500 suffering from anxiety, 10,800 from depression, 18,900 from ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and 68,100 from conduct disorder.
