UK-wide child sexual exploitation unit launched

NWG Network, a national charity dedicated to tackling child sexual exploitation, has launched a UK-wide child sexual exploitation unit. Announced by the Department for Education, the unit is backed by £1.24 million of government funding and will ensure specialist support is available to people working in children’s safeguarding. Formed a team of specialists, the unit has expertise in children’s services, health, policing, education, community services and professionals engaging with parents.
