Keeping children safe in education update

The Department for Education has published an updated version of the statutory guidance, Keeping children safe in education. This revises and replaces the 2015 guidance, and came into force for schools on 5 September 2016. The changes include emphasising the importance of regular safeguarding training; strengthening processes around online safety; and responding to cases of female genital mutilation.
