Call to bring young Calais refugees under British safeguarding rules

Labour MP Stella Creasy has called for the child welfare bill to be amended to give young refugees in Calais protection under British safeguarding rules. The amendment, which is to be tabled, would mean child refugees in Calais would be treated as potential UK citizens and come under child protection requirements.
