Children’s mental health damaged by parental conflict

Unresolved parental conflict has been proved to have an affect children’s long-term mental health and life chances in a study by the Early Intervention Foundation (EIF). The government-funded study by EIF and Professor Gordon Harold, of the University of Sussex, for the Department for Work and Pensions, found that conflict between parents also adversely impacts wider aspects of family function, including parenting quality.
